FROM MUSIC TO WORDS

Over the course of history, literature and music were always closely linked. From Shakespeare's works translated in Verdi's operas and Tchaikovsky's ballets adapted from classic fairytales such as Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake. However, not much is made in vice versa.​

This place explores that, particularly adaptions in Beethoven's works, particularly Leo Tolstoy's novel, The Kreutzer Sonata.
